We’re a family business – the Sheaves family has lived at Cuckoo Down Farm since 1959.

Our farm has five fields, all with tall oak-tree filled hedges. There’s a pretty stream and a three acre oak wood to explore. Look out for swallows, foxes, rabbits, badgers, deer and owls. We’re a working farm with a flock of Suffolk sheep.

Here, you really can chill out in peace and quiet. You’re a mile from the nearest road and 300 yards from our farmhouse. We have three yurts in a six-acre meadow. We allow small campfires in the evenings and on clear nights we have amazing stars.

Each yurt has its own compost loo, kitchen and standpipe of fresh drinking water within 15 feet of the tent. The yurts are cosily furnished with a double bed, two double sofa beds, carpets, rugs, cushions and a woodburning stove. We provide all bedlinen and a bottle of wine to welcome you. Each yurt kitchen has a bottled gas stove (two rings and a grill), crockery, glassware and cutlery all provided.

Our yurts each have three double beds. We allow up to four adults per yurt or six people including children. We have hot showers, washing machine, fridges and tumble dryer a five minute walk from the yurts. There’s also a power point for re-charging phones etc. There’s plenty of parking onsite and we are fully insured.
