We’ve been lucky enough to have some great press lately. Here’s just a selection:
The Daily Mail: Come and Flirt in our Yurt
We are recommended by The Rough Guide to Camping
Three Mongolian yurts in 12 hectares of nature-infested Devon countryside: what's not to like? Add pet lambs to bottle-feed, eggs to hunt down, collies to walk, streams to dam, campfires to build and woods to explore and, by gosh, you've got the sort of back-to-basics break that kids normally only read about in an Enid Blyton book.
Abigail Flanagan, The Guardian, Saturday 18 July 2009
It was never like this in Genghis Khan's day. When you stay in a yurt at 30-acre Cuckoo Down Farm, near Ottery St Mary, you don't have to sleep on rough ground, in Mongol warrior style. Instead, you get double beds, carpets, rugs, cushions and sofas, plus room to swing if not a yak, at least a decent-sized cat (the circular yurts have an 18-foot diameter). On top of which you get a wood-burning stove, a kitchen and a lavatory. Only concession to ruggedness is the short, open-air walk to the showers.
Christopher Middleton, The Daily Telegraph, 17 Sep 2008
Coming soon: Look out for us in the Go Slow Devon by Hilary Bradt and Alastair Sawday (out Spring 2010).
